July 19 Wilderness Society Southern Appalachian Office Open House

On Tuesday, July 19, The Wilderness Society’s Southern Appalachian Office hosts an open house in its new office at 474 West Main Street in downtown Sylva, North Carolina. From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. the public is invited to drop in to meet the regional staff and enjoy light refreshments. Regional Director Brent Martin will make brief remarks at 6:00 p.m.

The southern Appalachian office of The Wilderness Society serves western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee with the goal of gaining better protection, stewardship and restoration of shared public lands while preserving the region’s rich natural legacy for this and future generations.

The Southern Appalachian regional staff includes Regional Director Brent Martin, Conservation Specialist Jill Gottesman, Landscape Conservation Planner Hugh Irwin, and Outreach Coordinator Michelle Ruigrok. TWS_open-house-postcard_front_draft
